Kasich names lottery director

Dennis R. Berg, interim director of the Ohio Lottery since January 2011, was named permanent director by Gov. John Kasich today.
Berg, 48, began working at the lottery in 1991 and has been deputy finance director since 2005.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Cleveland State University and is a certified public accountant and fraud examiner.
The lottery has seen 10 straight years of sales growth, with records sales of $2.6 billion in the last fiscal year. Nearly $740 in profits went to public education.
