Boehner stays mum on GOP presidential primary

Lest you think House Speaker John Boehner will weigh in on the GOP presidential field, think again: The West Chester Republican made it clear Thursday he was keeping his mouth shut.
“It’s not my job to decide who the nominee is going to be,” Boehner told a room full of reporters, but added that he and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum “came to Congress together in 1990, worked together, and we’re great friends.” Boehner, however, “is not endorsing him. I’m not endorsing my other good friend Newt Gingrich, my other good friend Mitt Romney, or the guy I worked with for 18 years, Ron Paul.”
“They’re all good people, and the American people get to decide,” he said.
