Franklin County elections results running behind schedule

Franklin County Board of Elections officials say they are about a half-hour behind schedule in
posting results tonight, but they hope to catch up as quick as they can.
"The cars didn't arrive from the polling places as quickly as we would have liked," said Michael Stinziano, the agency's director. "And it's the one thing we can't control." Stinziano said the Board of Elections office has results for between 100 and 150 precincts - and hopes to post as complete of results as it can by 9:30 p.m. Write-in candidates, however, will take longer because they are being hand-counted. Officials have said those won't be tallied until early tomorrow morning. "We're plowing through it as fast as we can," Stinziano said. Story toolsToday’s Top Stories
