YOUNGSTOWN (AP) -- Democratic state Rep. Robert F. Hagan of northeastern Ohio said he was punched in the face at a Youngstown restaurant over the weekend.

Hagan said a man asked him to move so he could view belly dancers at the Lemon Grove Cafe on Sunday, then used offensive language.

Hagan responded and got slugged. Hagan said a cut on his chin required 11 stitches.

Dorian Thomas, 30, is in the Mahoning County jail accused of assault.
